The first shallot to win an AAS designation, this regional winner was chosen for its beauty and flavor. Single-centered 4-5″ oblong bulbs have bright coppery-pink skin that is easy to peel, and a rosy interior with thick rings. Upright 2-3′ plants mature early and are easy to grow. Echalions are known for their exceptional sugar profile and gourmet cooking quality, and Creme Brulee is an excellent example. Long storage potential.
