Georgia Southern Collards Seeds

About This variety of collards grows 2 to 3 feet high, and produces large, slightly crumpled blue-green leaves. Entire plant may be cooked when young or only loose cluster of leaves at top if desired. Collards are rated as one of the most nutrient dense vegetables that you can grow.

When and Where to Plant Start planting about 3 to 4 weeks before last expected frost in the spring. Prefers rich, well-drained soil and a pH around 6.5.

Care and Harvest Amend soils with compost and lightly fertilize. Harvest young leaves for fresh salads and mature leaves for cooking.
